Who usually hires us
Most teams come to us with an AI feature on the roadmap and nobody in-house who has shipped one to production. Some have tried a freelancer or a generic tool first and hit the limits. Others have older systems, like an ERP, a CRM or internal tools, where the AI has to fit around data that was never designed for it.

What our engineers work on
Most requests are for Claude work: wiring the Claude API into a product, or building agents and evaluation around it. Our Claude experts page covers that in more detail.
We also build AI agents that call your tools and APIs, multi-agent systems, and orchestration with LangGraph. For search over your own documents there’s RAG development and vector database consulting. For connecting models to internal systems there’s MCP server development.
Day to day, the code is mostly Python and TypeScript. The less visible part is the data and MLOps work that keeps a model working a year after launch.
How engagements work
There are two ways to work with us.
With project delivery, you bring a problem and we agree on one business number before writing code. Our team owns the build from architecture to production and reports against that number.
With forward deployed engineers, one of our engineers joins your stand-ups, uses your tools and ships through your deployment process. This suits teams that want someone inside the work rather than at the end of a ticket queue.
On hours: the team is in India. We agree on shared working hours and how you’ll communicate when the engagement starts, based on where your people are. Bring your constraints to the first call and we’ll tell you honestly what fits.
How we vet engineers
Every engineer we put on a client project holds CCA-F (Claude Certified Associate: Forward). It’s our own internal certification. Anthropic doesn’t issue it. AppUnik is separately an official Claude Certified Partner.
CCA-F covers six areas: AI and ML engineering, cloud-native architecture, full-stack product work, DevOps and platform engineering, data engineering and MLOps, and security and compliance. Engineers also have to show they’ve owned a build from design through production support. It’s re-checked against what they deliver, so passing an exam once isn’t enough.
